Chiropractic Care
During your chiropractic sessions, you’ll work with one of our back specialists in North Liberty, Dr. Haddad or Dr. Karim. Through gradual adjustments, they reduce areas of stress and guide your spine back to its optimal position.. This requires at least 5 sessions to offer pain relief and improve your mobility.
We can provide chiropractic care as a standalone treatment for pain relief. However, for accelerated healing and enhanced results, we may recommend pairing chiropractic services with our other treatment options.
Hako-Med Horizontal Therapy
For patients with a back injury—whether from improper posture, lifting heavy objects, or repetitive movements—we recommend the Hako-Med Horizontal Therapy. This treatment uses electrical stimulation to trigger a chemical response in your body that promotes cellular regeneration and healing.
Ergo-Flex Technology: Back on Trac
Instead of using our hands to stretch your spine, we can use the Ergo-Flex Technology: Back on Trac physical therapy device. This treatment alleviates pressure on both your spinal discs (the rubbery cushions that sit between your vertebrae) and your nerves.
This comfortable, FDA-cleared treatment can help with herniated discs, chronic stiffness, and sciatica (nerve pain caused by inflammation, pinching, or compression).
Ozone Therapy
Ozone therapy helps relieve pain caused by a herniated disc. Spinal discs support your vertebrae (stacked bones that protect your spinal cord). They provide shock absorption, mobility, and stability. Unfortunately, injury or age-related wear-and-tear can cause these discs to weaken, allowing the substance inside of them to leak out.
Ozone therapy uses ozone gas to boost oxygen levels in your body. This helps shrink the disc and lessen the pressure on the surrounding nerves. It can also reduce inflammation and improve oxygen flow to the treatment area for quicker and more effective healing.
PRP Injections
One key to healing is in your blood. That’s what we can do with PRP injections, at least. PRP stands for “platelet-rich plasma,” a concentrate made from your own blood that’s rich with growth factors and proteins to stimulate your body’s own natural reparative properties.
PRP injections involve taking a sample of your blood, spinning it in a centrifuge to separate platelets, and injecting the concentrate into the target area. In cases of back pain, PRP can streamline healing and recovery.
Shockwave Therapy
Your back specialists in North Liberty may recommend using shockwave therapy in addition to chiropractic adjustments. This treatment uses pulsed acoustic waves to open existing blood vessels and even stimulate the formation of new ones. This increases circulation in the area to accelerate healing.
The waves also create microtraumas in the treatment area to trigger your body’s natural healing abilities. This function regenerates inactive cells and prompts tissue healing for back pain relief and improved flexibility.
